The Michael Gahagan Transplant Community Scholarship

This scholarship is named in memory of Michael Gahagan. He was a two time kidney transplant recipient, one of which was given by his wife, Emily's Gift Board Member Christa. Michael was a founding member of Emily's Gift and was very active in the transplant community, including competing with Emily in the Transplant Games.

$2,500 is to be awarded to students who qualify by being organ transplant recipients, living donors or members of donor families. This will involve an application process and review by committee.

Theater / Dance Community Scholarship

$2,500 is to be awarded to students who are or will be majoring in Theater or Dance. This will involve an application process and audition by committee.

Team Maryland Athlete Participation Grant

$500 is to be awarded to a member of Team Maryland, the official team representing our transplant community at the US Games or World Games. This grant is to be used to defray the expenses associated with travel and participation. This will involve an application process through a committee and collaboration with Team Maryland to determine suitability and need.
